The steel of these semi-professional Japanese chisels consist of two parts. A softer part that is in the handle and a significantly harder cutting surface. The hard cutting surface ensures a perfect woodcut and the softer part efficiently dampens the blows.
The chisels are made from 2 layers of high quality carbon steel and have a hollow back. This hollow back makes working and sanding easier. The brass knuckle on the back of the chisel extends the life of the handles considerably and is easy to attach to the handle. The more the crowbars are used, the tighter the brass knuckles will sit.
These chisels are well suited for the experienced and less experienced woodworker and give excellent results.
Sharpen the Japanese chisels with the sharpening stones 1000 and 3000.
