Key Features
- Very durable water resistant finish
- Excellent choice for woodturning
- Good resistance to fingermarks
Description
Microcrystalline wax as the name implies is characterised by the fineness of its crystal structure. It is a very durable water resistant finish that is easy to apply and polishes to a high shine. Resistance to finger marks makes it a good choice for finishing products that are likely to be handled, such as wooden pens or handles. Also suitable as a finish for fine furniture and many other wooden projects, this clear wax is best applied over a sanding sealer or previously finished surface. 225ml tin.
N.B. This wax has good resistance to heat and moisture but has not been tested for ph neutrality and the like for use on valuable items needing a high level of protection with the certainty that the wax will not affect the substrate. (Some waxes are used on paintings etc and this wax has not been formulated for that use).
